Why does there have to be Goodbye?
It causes such fear,
and enough one would die…
If only it meant somewhere near
And somewhere soon after
Why does there have to be Goodbye?
It causes such pain,
‘Coz about it, you can’t lie
It always ends up in rain
Leaving us to drown. . . drown. . .
There’s always one Goodbye
sometimes forever, sometimes inevitable
It’s the worst when you’ve fought
and then it is said
There’s always one Goodbye
Making one’s day dark
So in private we can cry
While Silently break our hearts,
Our hearts of glass.
