If Came The Hour (A Double Rondel Poem)

When Goddess Aurora sprinkles your dew
I’ll recall dreams of our peach clingstone day
as five petal blossoms flutter away
to return and ooze the peach pulp of you~~

We’ll make love as dewfall moistens us through
as your ripe lips swoon us to lover’s way
when Goddess Aurora sprinkles your dew
I’ll recall dreams of our peach clingstone day~~

With delicate pink to squelched crimson hue
you’ll feed me blushes of lush flesh and lay
cream dreams on my soft skin and lick away
to sip sweet mountain dew; that’s what we’ll do
when Goddess Aurora sprinkles your dew~~

If came the hour when frost snap cracks your dew
and spiky shards stab your peach pulp away
to scream and banish our peach clingstone day
as Goddess Aurora weeps to war’s rue~~

We’ll make war, not love, as hell whips us through
and blood lips smear red and drown lover’s way
if came the hour when frost snap cracks your dew
and spiky shards stab your peach pulp away~~

Blossoms of frenzy squelch deep crimson spew
forces are calling to tear us away
gulls squabble on flesh as waves lick dismay
you sweetheart in war coat, me in nurse blue
if came the hour when frost snap cracks your dew~~
