Blues
Delphiniums gaily blazing in the border; –
The sky,upon a summer day,blue as eternity
With endless depths of cloudless space;
The sea above white sand,like turquoise
Or dark above black rocks;
Mountains,shadowy and aloof
Like patient gods alone with wisdom,
And early mornings` faint blue mist
Which vanishes at sunrise
Like the thoughts that come in dreams
And fade upon awakening.
Blue curtains at the window,blowing wild,
Blue chairs inviting rest and peace –
And then the deepest blue of all –
Your eyes.
