“My Hero

There goes my hero he has been since I could see.
He taught me everything he could he knew one day he’d leave.
Batman and Robyn never had a chance.
Superman, Spiderman, could not stand up to my old man.
There goes my hero he is still the one to beat.
He shined like the stars enlightning everything.
He passed down traditions from his fathers father to me.
None of those other guys left or taught me anything.
There goes my hero my father, the one from which I was raised.
He was there those lonly nights and empty days.
There goes my hero now laying six foot deep.
Still he is teaching me this time how to grieve.
There goes my hero he never said goodby.
Through me he lives Heroes never die.
