Forever planted on a solid base,
animal prostrate on a rock.
Battered and fisted
relentlessly and rhythmically
below a waning moon.
Never to move today or tomorrow,
chiseled and chastened,
waves licking your feet.
Solace or surrender,
my sphynx will not speak.
Het reigns supreme,
immune to my tantrum.
