The world is our cloister,
walk through it quietly
and reflectively
Meditate on the positive,
see the glass as half full
do not waste tears on the past
we cannot change it
Yesterday stands as
an immutable edifice
to our own vulnerability.
It is there for a reason
– not to taunt
but to teach us;
not to command
but to beseech us
not to make the same mistake
for there is only so much
a heart can take.
The greatest quest in life
is to find peace through
forgiving ourselves
…only then,
can we forgive others.
