Merry music laughing from the house upon the hill,
Heavy hammers clanging on the metal in the mill
Children chatter as they clatter on the bus to school,
Glitter gleaming from the windows frosted cool.
Beggars begging, coins are clanking in their cans of tin,
Money men are rushing to their folly in pursuit of sin.
All around the city as they run to get it done,
No one pays attention to the rising of the sun.
