WINTER
Thunder, lightning, hail and rain.
The wind howls flapping my overcoat
around my knees, as I walk sideways
sything through this harshest season.
SPRING
With the birth of a single flower
others envious follow suit, until the
earth bursts into a symphony of colour.
Evergreens join in too, why should they
miss out on spring?
SUMMER
Begins with beaches and barbecues.
Girls in bikinis brown as berries,
and just as succulent.
Boys growing beer-guts sucking on tinnies.
No matter where you, bloody mosquitoes.
AUTUMN
Colours change from green to gold,
then rustic brown with reddish hues.
It’s time to hibernate as sap falls,
waiting impatiently to regenerate.
