She Sleeps Alone.

With her eyes tightly closed,
And tears spilling from them.
With broken dreams,
Haunting her even in the daylight.
With a clock at her bedside,
The same time to wake up,
Well..in her case never even fall asleep.

She sleeps alone,
With her face in the pillow,
With the blanket up to her chin,
With her dreams that won’t even begin.

So she cries until the sleep takes over,
Maybe not even an hour or three until that happens.
So she is stuck listening to her thinking,
That won’t even settle her brain.
So she counts the lines on the paper she’s reading,
Maybe to put her to sleep or make her lazy.

But it doesn’t matter,
No. No it doesn’t matter.
She’s always going to sleep alone,
Even if there’s someone next to her.

Her eyes will be glued to her eyelids,
The insomnia that she bares will kick in.
She will always sleep alone,
Because they will not awake to her crying..
They will not hear her soft cries for comfort,
She will always sleep alone..
