The Sea

Deep and vast as the heavens
Your murmuring billows endlessly pounding,
Along sandy pebbled shore,
They come up roll and roar,
Your mighty deluge devouring the island length,
Unselfishly giving your bounty,
To earth’s mortal souls to feed,
Days when you are calm so solemn in the dark of night.
Where mighty whales are free to roam,
Playful soaring albatross,
While crying gulls plunge and plunder,
And to other nature freely giving,
Busy people come and go
Along your crowded bay,
By the dock , steamers colorful display
Tents and masts of vessels lay
As the tempest come,
The darkening heaven threatens,
To fill your shore to the brim,
And then you reply,
To recirculate and feed the sky,
You wash the barren steep rocks
Hidden deep among virgin caves,
You roll up and down the ships,
Extending your body to decipate
The gloomy oceans misty haze,
After the storm blasts across the horizon,
When your parting waves,
Thunderously,
Come lashing and calling,
I am the SEA.
