the virgin

She was born with the Christian belief
That a virgin you must be, till you marry.
So she held steadfast and true
Until the day she married you.
Her friends in school told her
To break that golden rule
And virginity was just for fools.

But her heart told her it was not time
And not to follow them
For they are blind.
She was told that she must
Keep her chastity
Till the man she marries sets her free.

Through hails of innuendos and pains
She fought temptations and kept herself sane.
She did what she felt was right for her
And did not follow the crowd
Now her friends and their
children are screaming out loud.

If you was to ask her how she stayed pure
She would tell you faith is the cure.
