Bound and determined
to live on no matter
what happens to me
But if something
happens to you
then
what will happen to me?
Living to protect the
ones that you love.
Can be hard at times
when they’re far away.
Are they empty words
that come from this mouth
since your so far.
Or are these words meaningful
and something you hold dear to you.
At times even the protector needs protection
from the pitifulness of this world.
Not letting this guard of mine down
for who knows
what can happen
when it does.
