Two Tied Souls

In a world of crows,
upon a set of scales most damaged stand two tied souls.

Across the skies crow do fly,
dropping unwanted weight upon one soul or the other.

Without hesitation the other takes half the weight,
cursing the crows as they bear the weight.

The crows continue to drop weight,
every time the weight is split in two.

As the weight increase the two tied souls grow stronger,
bearing more than thought possible.

For the crows can not bear the pain,
so long as they still stand there.

Because for five long years those tied souls have stood,
defying the crows who tried to crush them.

And with strength and understanding they continue to stand,
proving that the crows way is not the only way.
