You Don’t Know Me (written in the not a poem style)

You sit on a mighty throne
Passing judgments on another
Your kindness, is it real?
Does your happiness reach your eyes?

I see the friendliness
You reserve for others
The ones you may deem worthy
What is the price to pay?

A pound of you’re so great?
A mile of you are perfects?
Would you prefer
A gallon of my blood and tears?

Life is lived as best as we can
And mistakes will be made
But we learn and move on
As we try to pick up the pieces

Are you above that?
You who profess to know
About life, pain, suffering
Unfairness and Love

It’s your loss, my friendship
For my heart is as open as my mind
Though my feelings are tender to the mean
My anger is as real as my kindness

That crown of hypocrisy
Is a bit too tight on you
How dare you judge me
You don’t know me
