The convulsed night holds forth a star,
An indelible seal:
Immesurably the star expands,
and explodes!
And from the abyss
spears a porcine squeal:
‘Father, have mercy!’
‘Kiss me, preserve me!’
‘Oh, Father, forgive me,
as well as man.’
Meanwhile.
The hapless puppet Judas,
like a cast aside doll,
hangs from a tree branch
on a crevice.
The murdered tree
is resurrected briefly
into a living ornament.
A wooden candlestick
encrusted with the blood,
of the dying son of God.
