Your eyes look daggers
though your mouth’s all smiles.
I can see how your mind’s working
as you try to dig the dirt, and failing,
start to shovel lies.
I’m unknown as yet,
so I have no defence.
There is nothing to protect me
from your planned offense.
But I will bide my silent time.
For I know that in the end,
It’s not me who’ll be alone
without a single friend.
