Music invokes my insatiable desire
Lights my soul into a raging fire
Strums my senses with a deft hand
Takes me away to the promise land
Picks me up from depression’s ground
Enlightens my mind with beautiful sound
Eases worry and soothes my pain
Offers me crazy while staying sane
Music has courted me longer than love
Has held me close, has give me enough
Music’s friendship never dies
You accept it’s truths, as well as it lies
Music never seems to show age
Has been through time at every stage
Music loves without prejudice
Takes all of it’s captives to a land called bliss
Without our music where would we be?
Would we be happy? would we be free?
Without our music how would we cope?
Would more turn to violence and more to dope?
Music makes my life a better thing
I couldn’t imagine not being able to sing
I love music, as it loves me
