“My Last Cigarette”

Skippin’ down the street, walking next to me
Music blasting out of your headphones
Singing songs about all you can be
Breathing dreams like air
With hands and emotions as cold as the air outside
With eyes and a heart as warm as the cigarette hanging out of your mouth
I watch as your steps become unsteady,
As the clouds fill your head,
But I can barely look its hard to watch the most beautiful girl in the world tear herself to shreds

Im breathing you in and- oh no that’s cancer..
Or maybe its you because its hard to tell the difference now…
And its funny how I’d steal a glance at you every time you turned around
But yet id hate to look because its hard to watch the most beautiful girl in the world slowly die

But yet we still laugh and make a little too much noise
As we make our way down that frozen hill yelling our indifference to the skies
We’re misfits, broken, and we wouldn’t have it any other way
You take one long, last drag from the cigarette,
Before you look at me and say,
“Hey wanna hear about a really bad day?”
