I write my words
for me and that is true.
If you like them then that’s fine
but I don’t depend on you
to give my ego one last stroke.
If you choose to you can poke
instead, a nasty pen from nasty head.
Or just peek and say nothing, no hallo.
It never spoils a single day of mine,
or takes a single second of my semi-precious time.
For I have friends here and they know
I’d walk across hot coals that glowed
for every word they write is gold..
ok too.
