The days of old and the woman

Since the days of old, I have always been told..
Constantly ponder why nations have fallen…
Bitterness, hatred, kings became slaves
Holy men became wicked…

Kingdoms became ruins, annihilated, till no one’s left breathing
This figure, perceived with my eyes
So admirable, so charming, so splendid….
Agony was with me, dragged me to her lies…

So captivating, she is! I have squandered my consciousness…
Transforming am I into Evil? Hoping I am not…
Destined am I to be with her? Wishing I won’t…
Woman, a magnet, seduction to my feeble flesh…

Someone save me from this vile delusion!
We all feel, like we are falling, in this snare, so scared…
My heart has been my greatest adversary,
Eradicating the decency in me, so sad, mournful.

Uttering I am not to those honorable women,
I myself, no perfect man, erroneous maybe …
But since the days of old, always we’ve been told…
Man’s victory is a woman, his downfall, a woman….
