The Legend

Rock where he stood
Up high on summit
A heavy sword in hold
Windblown hair, golden locket
Hand on brow, focused beyond
Saw something afar
Glorious rays of freedom

Right here and now
His majesty’s anger feels
While lancets dances, avows
Glittering blade of steel
‘Til sunrise to dawn
Jumps up and down
To liberty, freedom

Legend’s white ride
Land of the braves
Horses, men cried,
Knows no grave
No men of vapid
But obdurate souls
And full of rabid

Purloin oppressions
Bloody hands no fear
Yells, painful aggressions
Blood, sweat, tears
Seemingly endless battles
‘Til the hours of tranquil
Tough shield rattles

At the end of day
Animals, men silence fell
Followers few by the bay
Enemy made deal
Not to be gainsaid
Freedom prevails
The legend had laid

Out come proud victors
Champs rose against
Opprobrious dictators
Under sweeping winds
Foe’s destruction rained
Alas freedom triumphed
Magnanimous Legend reigned
