The title is not missing!
It is just not there.
Why do these bleedin’ titles
haunt me everywhere?
I want to send a message
or repsond to some nice comment,
but this site won’t let me send it
if there aint a title on it!
And if I write a poem
woe betide if I miss out
the rotten bleedin’ title
cos this site will scream and shout
in bright red ink
“Where is the title????
We can’t send it as it is!”
This fixation with a title
really gets me in a tizz.
And I can’t remember yours,
and I can’t think all the time
of what on earth to call the bleedin’ rhyme.
I spend more time on titles
than on writing what I write.
The titles take me half the bleedin’ night.
And then, it winds me up so much
because I can’t remember
if I called the poem ‘Autumn’ or ‘November’.
