Unforgiven (sonnet)

When I am alone breathing Mother Moon,
I see my reflection hidden in cursed tears,
After the sunset, I embrace the monsoon,
Disguising my sorrow and outcast fears.
In my dazed heart I am not glad to live
As you and I once worshipped eternity.
Now songs are still and this I can’t forgive
For nothing can quench my thirst of infinity.
I buried my love beneath a delicate pine tree
Where I planted my bleeding hopes and pain.
My tired Venus is there crying like a banshee,
With the captain of my heart I shall remain.
If death is tender, it shall carry my soul too.
The dead are free but I am caged without you.
