Yeah that’s me, I’m lame,
pathetic, crazy, maybe even insane
for this woman I’ve fallen deep,
a broken and mangled heart is all I’ll reap.
For she loves him
may even be with him forever,
flowers, gifts, poems…
won’t work no matter how clever.
God said not to want the woman of another man.
Oh no, not me, I had a ‘better’ plan.
Now here I am sad, pathetic and lame.
I fear my loneliness will drive me from where I came.
Or maybe I too will discover
that there is another fit to be my lover.
