Be clear to do the things you promised,
Sating your followers and borrowed votes,
Set up your structures and appoint your allies,
At home as well as abroad,
Realise what you can’t do with hindsight,
And blame our cousins close by,
Lie about the true cost of failure,
You still have the support regardless,
Changes can be blamed on the unknowns,
Shuffle the pack to keep the wolf at bay,
This is what you have been trained for,
You can’t be judged too soon,
So, keep your counsel close,
It is the red tape that hinders progress,
You can frame how you are perceived,
No matter how badly you do, suspicious they are,
You answer only to your friends,
They will always hide your truth
