don’t i wish he didn’t

while scraping for the coins
i suddenly saw him passing by
in dark threads in dark shades
in attempt to avoid the light rays

one ray got caught between my eye
and his fast moving hand as it was
going to the wrong place in the dark
and oh yeah, don’t i wish he didn’t
(it still hurts)
