A half-hearted promise now cruelly retracted,
It’s a skill to misdirect with such malice,
Of outright lies for the easily distracted,
With a misunderstanding so callous,
An improvement not meant but a purpose is served,
A removal made with such insincerity,
A truth understood, an alternative observed,
Dismissed out of hand with much cruelty,
So, remove all existence of a reward never kept,
Ride the path of the storm that’s been felt,
Go back on your word with such brazen contempt,
And revel in the misery you dealt,
Over time the apparition of illusion will fade,
As you sink into your own pits of doom,
Blaming others for atrocities of alliances made,
Poking fun at the powerless as they fume
