Maybe it is all in my head
Perhaps the act of chivalry is dead
Maybe those good people are gone
Perhaps there’s nothing to right these wrongs
But pain is something that is so real
Something i’d take away so you needn’t feel
Because dear it’s hard to watch you cry
When maybe i could make it stop
Maybe we are all just damned
We just watch as out time slips away like grains of sand
Perhaps we are just simple men,
Forsaken by man
But maybe we’re all wrong
Who knows but i’ll try like hell
To make things better for you

I thought it was an OK write …the ending line needed some more thought but overall I think you have promise …I will read a few more ….. Feel free to be a critic on my writes as well… I welcome all critics even if I dis-agree

I would consider myself pretty retired from a lot of poetry didn’t write more then 2 for the 2 and a half years being absent from a site. And what i put on here is pretty mindless half assery.
