The sun dips below
the distant hills.
The sky awash with
an array of color.
Pink, orange,
purple, red.
Far away clouds
float lazily
in the air.
Far off mountains
silhouetted in black
Against the day’s
fading light.
When the sun finally
disappears below
The horizon,
A sea of stars
twinkles into view,
and the silver moon
emerges, glowing gently
over the sleeping earth.
