Out of nothing I came
To Nowhere to return
Turning pages of life
As the blurred letters burn
Within starlight I sleep
On the edge of an unmarked coast
With cold suns into cosmos I leap
In the shadow of a spaceship ghost
Out of patterns I made
Timeline to an advent
Born of ashes of light
A failed experiment
On a great stage I live
I’m the chosen one; king of kings
Father & son of all who forgive
Am I the one pulling their strings?
Out of nothing I made
subjects of my long reign
To defy what’s to come
If no hope should remain
In the ashes I’m laid
The undying spirit of Mars
Buried in the strangest parade
Carrying the great crown of stars

Love the cosmic theme here! The description of this being is so vivid like a story from ancient mythologies. Great piece Nebojsa!
it is inspired by a lot of different mythologies.. which sort of end up being almost the same.. thanks for readin bro! 🙂
as the blurred letters burn…yes…
🙂
As I’m reading this, I’m noticing that you & I are of the same frame of mind, this week.
That King of Kings verse was dope!
Another gem, bro.
not only this week 🙂 thanks for stopping by brother! 🙂
I wanna come out of the shadows and fly in a spaceship ghost. You certainly take the reader to different places with this verse – places of wonder between the lines,
glad it invoked that kind of feeling.. thanks for reading 🙂
Nice imagery, spaceship ghost, cold suns leaping into cosmos. Much to muse upon if you spend some time with it.
if it’ll make things clearer, it’s from the perspective of a creator – & I set the imagery that way so that could be either a god or human, depending on what you pay attention to.. thanks for reading 🙂
I had to re-read, but I see in your previous comment that this is written from the perspective of a creator, so now it makes sense. You may be talking about Enki coming in his space ship? When you mention King of Kings, would that be Yeshua (Jesus)? Nice work!
I didn’t have a particular deity in mind while writing this, but if that’s how you see it, then you’re not wrong.. I only wanted to point out that, while human could be a god to some creatures, what we call god could be a human to some other, higher form of being.. you can think of this poem as a hypothesis.. & thank you for reading 🙂
