A God of War and Iron

He seemed to regard the scene with a sort of detached disdain

and peered at me with less than full attention.

I am of the cold hard night I am of the great horizon.

All that is before me rots and stinks of waste.

The earth no longer knows me the wind has died.

Where is the water I knew where is the sky?

I hear endless talking in my dreams I see time spinning.

I see the great apes and the mighty cats melting away

I feel the grieving it is deep and penetrates my being.

He finally looked at me sharply and said WHO ARE YOU.

I am nothing but a shell I am melting away.

He took my hand, looked into my eyes and said

we will melt away together.

Then it all fell away and I saw the new beginning the nothingness

and was filled with endless awe.

And everything, all that ever was collapsed into a single point

then exploded in riotous chaos.

REJOICE he said REJOICE.

  1. This is what I would call a spectacle of words! The imagery reminds me of the best kinds of psychedelic music videos. These kind of dark and surreal tones are my favorite! Great write man!
