Remember What We Did?

 

Pictures in my mind,

Wishing you were home,

Regret being so unkind,

Write apology in tome,

 

Once we were so young,

Before life got in the way,

Then one slip of the tongue,

Could make you go away,

 

The memories we shared,

Won’t fade so easily,

Once so young and scared,

We’ve mellowed pleasingly,

 

Now looking back together,

We can’t rekindle love,

Too much stormy weather,

Won’t allow to rise above.
