Spring Fever
I knew winter was coming to an end
Spring crept up slowly
No matter how slowly however,
I knew he would reach for me and touch me with his poison
I soon came down with Spring Fever
Like a snake in tall grasses, he slithered
He slithered slowly towards me, the prey
Cautious of every move I was to make, Spring saw the vulnerbility
After a bitter cold winter, Spring could not have come at a better time
The opportunity was there, and I had been waiting for the attack
And there he was, as soon as I allowed my guard to fall
Spring came at me, and mesmerized me with his fever
Spring’s posonous bite brought me to a feeling of peace
Relaxation, and tranquility
Bud’s blossomed, birds sang, and the evening wind whispered softly
Melodies floated through my mind
The air was new, clean, and I was pure again
It was the beginning of an entire world
The birth of life, the beginning of the end
The first day of Spring
