“What you don’t know”

I can’t regret you no matter what you have done, every day I think about you and it’s because you are the one.
The only one for me the one that got away, i think back to when I left oh God how I wish I had stayed.
I left to protect you from things you couldn’t see, i’ve tried to forget you but you are the one for which I breathe.
I think about you constantly your always on my mind, how can you miss someone so deeply when you left them so far behind.
I wish you would walk through the door and take me away, no more mistakes cause in your eyes I long to stay.
I wonder if you think about me or did you forget, the way I said I love you or the first time that we met.
Ever since that day I’ve been hung up on you, no one can take your place because you are my muse.
There isn’t a single life adventure I haven’t played out in my mind, from marrying you to holding you to being with you until the end of time.
I long to tell you these things but your so far away, you haunt my dreams at night but the dreams help me survive another day.
If anybody has ever loved you i’d feel safe calling their bluff, because the love I have for you is more than enough for the both of us.
This isn’t just another poem it’s not words on a page, this is my heart and soul in front of you praying you feel the same way.
